Michael, thanks for taking a positive interest in our children. It would be easy to write about a particular player having a bad day for the Mav’s, but you tend to avoid the obvious by putting something cleaver rather than blasting the young man. It is nice to know that you are not into censationalizing an article at the expense of a kid who is already feeling down. Hope you are enjoying the Mav’s ride this year! Hope the Mav’s can find a way to do what many a good Mav’s teams have failed to do over the past 12 years, win state. Thanks again, Don Griffith.

I didn’t make up a birth date for Bobby, the Osprey listed it incorrectly on their roster (I have since corrected the post). Borchering’s real birthday is Oct. 25, 1990. The story line is still the same, Borchering is struggling in his Missoula debut…birthday or no birthday. Thanks.

The arm is the last thing to go. That’s what they say, anyway. Maybe it’s different for sportswriters. Having watched the video, I’m going to go with a C+. The lack of booing may be due to kindhearted nature of Garden City baseball fans. I do believe that pitch would have gotten Nick booed off the diamond in several major league venues.

Minor leaque baseball does a great job of marketing, but how about American Legion baseball. There is some great players not only in Missoula but the Bitteroot and Mission Valley.
